What we collect
- Your answers to the Business MOT questions.
- Your name, work email address, company and role, and your phone number if you choose to give it.
- How you reached us, for example the campaign link you followed.
- A scrambled version of your IP address that changes every day, used only to stop abuse of the service.
Where it comes from
Most of it comes from you. If we contacted you first, your name, business email address, company and role came from TO CONFIRM: the data sources used, named. We tell you this in our first message too.
Why we use it
- To produce your Business MOT and send it to you, because you asked us to.
- To follow up about your results, where you have agreed to this or where the law allows us to contact you as a business. You can tell us to stop at any time.
- To count how many people start and finish the MOT, so we can improve it. We do this on our own server, without cookies.
Our lawful bases are TO CONFIRM: lawful basis per purpose, after legal review.
Who we share it with
Our service providers for hosting, customer records and email. If you ask to talk your results through, or you agree to hear from us, your details and answers may be passed to the company best placed to help: Fresh Digital Holdings Ltd (company 12708654) or Marketing Done 4U Ltd (company 17433867), both at 34 Altrincham Road, Wilmslow, SK9 5ND. TO CONFIRM: recipients confirmed by legal review, and a data sharing agreement in place We never sell your information.
How long we keep it

Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to stop contacting you. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and storage
While you complete the MOT, your answers are saved in your own browser so you do not lose your place. They are removed from your browser when you finish. We do not use advertising cookies unless you choose to allow them.
